What is Applied Behavior Analysis?
Individualized
The simplest way to define Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the following:
A type of therapy that attempts to increase positive behaviors and decrease negative behaviors.

Clinical Definition of ABA:
A science-based therapy used to improve socially significant behaviors, especially for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities, by teaching skills (e.g functional communication, self-help, appropriate play) and reducing harmful behaviors (e.g. self-harm, aggressions, etc.) through REINFORCEMENT and data-driven strategies. It's a research-backed, flexible approach that helps people learn, increases functional skills, and increases independence by understanding how behavior works and applying principles to create POSITIVE change across various settings.
